Serie A matchday 4: Roma stay perfect, Inter score five, Juventus lose at Sassuolo in the 90th minute

Four rounds in and AS Roma have won all four, conceding once. They won at Torino on Monday while Inter, two down inside sixteen minutes at San Siro, scored five against Udinese to join them on twelve points. Juventus lost a match they had drawn twice: a Vasilije Adžić goal in the 90th minute at Sassuolo, seconds after E. Zhegrova had equalised for the second time. Ten matches, 39 goals, one red card, and the two teams at the top meet on Saturday.

The results

Torino 0–2 AS Roma was settled by D. Malen on 40 minutes — his fifth of the season, top of the chart — and N. Pisilli in the third added minute. Roma had fourteen shots to Torino's seven and an expected-goals figure of 1.91 to 0.76.

Inter 5–3 Udinese began badly for the home side: J. Abankwah on nine minutes and J. Ekkelenkamp on 16 had Udinese two up. Carlos Augusto pulled one back on 26, N. Barella levelled from M. Thuram's pass on 35, and it was 2–2 at the break. M. Thuram, from A. Diouf, put Inter ahead on 57; F. Esposito from P. Zielinski on 67 and A. Bonny on 79 made it five; I. Gueye scored Udinese's third in the 90th. Inter had 27 shots, twelve on target.

Sassuolo 3–2 Juventus was goalless for 64 minutes and then produced five goals in 26. S. Esposito scored from N. Matic's pass; E. Zhegrova equalised on 82; K. Bowie, from D. Bakola, restored the lead on 89; Zhegrova, from R. Kolo Muani, equalised again in the 90th; and V. Adzic, from A. Lauriente, won it in the same minute. Juventus had eighteen shots to Sassuolo's ten.

Lazio 2–2 AC Milan was two up at half-time — M. Cancellieri from M. Zaccagni on ten minutes, T. Noslin on 39 — and level by the 67th, D. Moreira scoring twice in two minutes from C. Pulisic and A. Rabiot. Milan had 66 per cent of the ball; Lazio's expected goals, 2.01, were higher than Milan's 1.25.

Venezia 2–4 Fiorentina opened the round on Friday with an F. Mastantuono hat-trick: goals on 29 and 30 minutes from A. Jimenez and Beto's passes, a third on 84. M. Pellegrino scored the other from N. Fagioli; A. Adams and A. Hainaut replied for Venezia, who have lost all four.

Atalanta 1–2 Cagliari: P. Mendy put Cagliari ahead on 19 from M. Adopo's pass, G. Scamacca equalised on 41 from C. De Ketelaere, and D. Maldini's penalty on 61 won it. Atalanta had 22 shots; Cagliari had five, all of them on target.

Lecce 3–2 Monza was 3–1 after 21 minutes — L. Coulibaly twice, Tiago Gabriel once, R. Mangas for Monza — and E. Zeballos's 89th-minute goal was too late. Monza had nineteen shots and eleven on target and lost.

Napoli 1–0 Bologna came down to S. Lobotka's goal on 66 minutes from C. Favasuli's pass; Bologna had five shots and no corners.

Como 2–1 Parma had J. Ramon scoring on 23 from N. Paz's pass and Kaiki, from M. Perrone, on 83; D. Romero's reply in the second added minute was Parma's only goal from twelve shots. Como had 28 shots and eleven corners.

Genoa 1–1 Frosinone: G. Kvernadze scored for Frosinone on 14 from R. Schmid's pass; Lorenzo Colombo missed a penalty for Genoa in first-half stoppage time; J. Vasquez equalised on 50 from D. Sow's pass and was sent off on 86. Frosinone had 27 shots.
